Amber Xiong
Biography
Amber holds a Master's degree from Harvard University and a B.F.A. in Visual Communication and Oil Painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Her experience spans leading global cultural and artistic institutions. She has worked across renowned museums, galleries, and intangible cultural heritage centers, developing a strong understanding of both creative practice and institutional frameworks. At Harvard Art Museums, she served as a Project Assistant, contributing to academic and curatorial initiatives.
In parallel, Amber has built a diverse portfolio as an independent designer, including roles as a graphic designer with United Nations Development Programme across India, Singapore, and France, as well as with UNICEF at its New York headquarters. Her work reflects a strong intersection of design, global engagement, and social impact.
Amber is also the founder of an art education initiative dedicated to children with special needs, combining creative development with community impact.
At Counselion, she works with students pursuing creative and interdisciplinary paths, helping them develop distinctive portfolios and cohesive application narratives that reflect both artistic vision and intellectual direction.
